Overview
Social Studies is the study of social relationships and the functioning of society. It usually consists of courses such as history, government, economics, civics, sociology, geography. It prepares students to grow up as active, responsible, and reflective members of society. It also teaches them to address societal and global concerns using literature, technology and other identifiable community resources.
